GLOBAL WARMING

By definition, global warming describes an increase in the average temperature of the Earth's atmosphere. A United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and other organizations have endorsed that the average global temperature has risen between 0.6 and 0.2º C in the past century. This increase in temperature has contributed to many natural disasters recently, and has affected the increase in sea levels, flooding, melting of polar ice caps and glaciers, fluctuations in temperature and precipitation, more frequent and stronger tropical storms, drought, heat waves, and forest fires. Researchersay more than 90% of global warming is caused by humans through industrial and agricultural projects.*
